Paul Casey’s Biography

Paul Casey is an English professional golfer playing on the PGA Tour and European Tour. Paul has eleven top-10 finishes in major tournaments in his career, with his best to date being a T2 at the 2020 PGA Championship, a tie for third in The Open at St Andrews in 2010, T4 at the 2021 PGA Championship, and successive T6, T4, and 6th place finishes at the Masters (2015-2017).

His three PGA tour victories came at the 2009 Houston Open and 2018 & 2019 Valspar Championships. His 15 titles on the European Tour include the 2021 Dubai Desert Classic and 2019 Porsche European Open. In 2020, Paul was named to the 16-member PGA Tour Player Advisory Council.

Other titles include the 2019 Porsche European Open, 2014 KLM Open, and 2013 Irish Open. Paul has been in the European Team competing against the USA in the Ryder Cup in 2004, 2006, 2008, 2018 and 2021. In 2006, he was named European Tour Player of the Year.

Paul won a golf scholarship to Arizona State University, playing from 1997 to 2000. He won the English Amateur title back to back in 1999 and 2000, while winning three consecutive Pac-10 Championships at Arizona State (1998-2000). In 2000, he broke the championship scoring record (previously held by Tiger Woods at 18-under par) with a remarkable 23-under par score of 265. After turning professional in 2000, Paul joined the European Tour in May 2001. He finished 22nd on the Tour's Order of Merit that year and was named the Sir Henry Cotton Rookie of the Year.

From 2007-2018, Paul led the Paul Casey Foundation for junior golfer at Foxhills Golf Club in Surrey. The foundation offered scholarships to junior golfers from underprivileged backgrounds. Today, Paul is an Ambassador for UNICEF, an organization that works on behalf of the United Nations Children's Fund for children's rights.
