Niran Chana’s Biography

Niran Chana is a skilled business strategist, team leader and expert within the direct-to-consumer digital model.

Since August 2021, Niran has held the post of President at Gymshark, with responsibility for the international growth of the Gymshark brand. He also oversees Planning, Marketing, Merchandising, Finance & People divisions and works closely with the Gymshark team in the US and Canada, seeking to achieve scalability in both new and existing markets.

Following university, Niran began his career in management at Sports HQ Group, a leading e-commerce organisation that provides the online retailing of sporting goods and leisure & lifestyle products. Moving to Gymshark in 2015, Niran was initially a member of the management team, before he was promoted to Trading Director. He became a member of the Gymshark senior leadership team in August 2019 when he was promoted to Chief Commercial Officer.

A natural leader with the ability to bring teams together, Niran has a proven track record in delivering consecutive year-on-year profitable growth in his tenure to date. His success is attributed to driving cross-functional collaboration, deploying growth-orientated initiatives whilst protecting brand equity.

Prior to his career, Niran studied at Nottingham Trent University where he achieved a Bachelor of Science with Honours in Sport Science & Management.
