Nicole Junkermann, Founder of NJF Holdings, is a dynamic, international entrepreneur and investor.
NJF Holdings is an international investment firm with private equity, venture capital, and real estate arms. In her work with NJF Holdings, Nicole advocates digital innovation and the application of disruptive technologies to successfully launch both established and new business into the future.
Through the group’s venture capital operations, NJF Capital, Nicole oversees an investment portfolio across Europe and the US and has strategically invested in numerous start-ups in healthcare, fintech, and deep tech. NJF Capital was involved in the early stages of Songza, Dollar Shave Club, and RelateIQ, which were acquired by Google, Unilever, and Salesforce respectively.
An early stage investor in healthcare and biotechnology, Nicole’s vision for NJF Capital was to actively participate in addressing some of the world’s major challenges by investing in technology that contributes to breakthroughs in medicine. Alongside individuals like Brent Hoberman, she is a shareholder and Director at Owkin, a Paris-based biotechnology company at the forefront of medical research.
Nicole’s first great success came as co-founder of football gaming portal Winamax. She then joined Infront Sports & Media, building the company into a leading worldwide sports media rights business. As Vice-Chairman and a major shareholder, she then oversaw the company’s sale to Bridgepoint Capital.
As a leading investor, Nicole frequently shares thought leadership pieces on the technology and healthcare sectors, as well as the FoodTech industry – a field Nicole is at the forefront of, in particular investing in FoodTech companies focused on nutrition, the foundation of health. She is an Advisor to Trilantic Europe and serves as a Committee Member for the Tate Americas Foundation.
Nicole was appointed by Matt Hancock to the Department of Health and Social Care’s Healthtech Advisory Board.
