Mark Kollar is a partner, strategist and senior executor at Prosek Partners, a leading international financial communications and marketing firm. Mark provides advice and strategic counsel to senior executives and business leaders in asset management, private markets and ESG/impact investing.
Throughout his career in communications, Mark has specialized in developing compelling narratives and storylines to drive business on topics from leadership and entrepreneurship to investments and sustainability and is often asked to manage a wide range of highly sensitive issues and special situations.
Prior to his role at Prosek, Mark was a journalist at Thomas Reuters and Knight-Ridder Financial News in New York, London and Chicago, where he covered the Federal Reserve, business and the economy, structured products, financial markets and the future and options exchanges. He is the author of 24-Hour Trading: The Global Network of Futures and Options Markets, published in 1989 by John Wiley & Sons.
Adding to his many years of experience in financial markets, Mark was also a trader on the floor of the Chicago Mercantile Exchange in the stock-index and Eurodollar futures markets, where he learned that gaining an edge was always the best advantage, a lesson that has served him well in strategic communications.
Mark received his MA degree in English Literature at the University of Chicago and his BA in English Literature at DePauw University.
