Mark Corbidge is CEO of Corbidge Capital Partners and Managing Director of Sun European Partners, where he leads the company’s investment strategies.
With a career spanning more than three decades in the financial sector, Mark has held and continues to hold, numerous board positions across a range of sectors, including Chairman of the Supervisory Board at the TMF Group, Norit NV (now Cabot Corporation), and Eurofibre.
Mark’s career began in banking with Rothschild, S.G Warburgs & Co. and Salomon Brothers (the latter two in Germany) before subsequently transitioning to Private Equity via the MBO of Umbro, the UK sportswear manufacturer. He later became CEO of the online sales arm of Umbro International. Mark moved on to join the private equity backers, Doughty Hanson & Co and then CPPIB in Toronto.
Mark returned to London to build the Industrials platform of TPG Europe LLP, where he held the position of Partner. During this time, Mark also offered his expertise in leadership and business expansion as a member of the Advisory Board at CriticalEye. Earlier in his career, Mark chaired the board at the United Soccer Leagues (USL) after serving as joint CEO of the legendary football club, Newcastle United where he led the listing on the Stock Exchange. At the same time, Mark also managed the mergers and acquisitions for NatWest Markets in the North and North East of the UK.
Currently, Mark is a volunteer member of the Finance Committee at The National Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children (NPCC). Mark is a driven dealmaker who enjoys a challenge.
