Biography
Manish Chande joined Clearbell LLP as a Senior Partner in 2013 and is Chairman of the Investment Committee. With over 30 years of real estate experience, he is involved in all aspects of the business.

In 2007 Manish co-founded Mountgrange Investment Management and was the CEO of the private property investment and development group, Mountgrange Capital, from 2002. Prior to this Manish was a board director at Land Securities plc, CEO of Trillium and CEO of Imry, a property investment and development company. Having originally trained as a chartered accountant at Midgley Snelling & Co, he then went on to work at Deloitte and Haskins & Sells.

Manish is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales and he was elected a fellow of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors in 2008. Manish was appointed as a Trustee of the Canal and River Trust in 2012, and a Trustee of The London Clinic in 2007. He was also a Commissioner of English Heritage from 2003 to 2011.

For now, anyone hoping to acquire a skyscraper at a knockdown price will be disappointed. But Manish Chande, senior partner at property-focused private equity firm Clearbell Capital, points out that the boom in high-end commercial assets is not reflected throughout the market. “There are already significant areas of weakness and, outside of prime, City [office] net effective rents have fallen up to 15 per cent and are trending weaker,” he says.
