Kiki McDonough’s Biography

Kiki McDonough is a leading British jewellery designer, renowned for her unique gemstone and diamond creations.

Both Kiki’s grandfather and father were jewellers, nurturing a desire in her to create ageless, delicate jewellery and igniting an enduring passion for working with the finest diamonds and gems. “I have always loved coloured gemstones and thought they were underrated and undervalued. I knew they should be enjoyed and incorporated into beautiful designs.”

Her world-renowned brand was established in 1985 when she opened her flagship Kiki McDonough store in Chelsea. Just two years later, a pair of her earrings was displayed in the V&A’s modern jewellery collection. With several decades of experience, Kiki’s own interests and lifestyle inspire her collections, from botany and travel to the ballet and Liverpool FC.

Kiki McDonough is the ultimate source for earrings in a multitude of colours. The jeweller herself is pulled towards warmth and brightness, which is reflected in comfortable pieces filled with vitality and colour. “I have never met a woman who does not look better when wearing a touch of colour on her ears or hands; every piece I design should light up the face and make her feel altogether more positive.”

Kiki McDonough has always created assertive, fashionable designs of supreme quality that stand the test of time, ensuring that they can be worn by multiple generations of the same family. With a strong British foundation – it is worn by the Royal Family and has been a devoted local of London’s Sloane Square for almost four decades – the brand has grown swiftly and is known and appreciated globally.
