Keith Minella is a nationally recognized expert in insurance & subrogation claims, having founded several companies over the past 25 years, leveraging his extensive knowledge & expertise of the legal principles, recovery strategies & asset values of subrogation rights.
He is a partner in Encore Subrogation, providing subrogation consulting services to insurance companies, healthcare providers & private equity firms. In one current engagement, Mr. Minella has been tasked with designing & executing the capital deployment strategy for Alleus Health Analytics. Alleus has secured $100 million dollars to deploy buying recovery assets.
In 1996 Keith founded Subrogation Partners, which became one of the leading independent subrogation recovery firms in the United States, recovering more than $500 million for over 125 clients including five State Insurance Departments. Having handled virtually every type of property subrogation claim, in 2008 Subrogation Partners was acquired by AON Corporation, the world’s largest insurance broker.
Prior to this, Mr. Minella was President of Bermuda-based Essex Insurance Company and he presided over the run-off & liquidation of US Capital Insurance of NY for the New York Department of Conversion & Liquidation. As a third-party administrator, he also presided over the run-off of Commonwealth United Insurance Company for the California Insurance Department’s Conversion & Liquidation Division.
Keith holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Pace University & is a Member of the National Association of Subrogation Professionals (NASP) and the Healthcare Financial Management Association (HFMA).
Mr. Minella has testified as an expert witness in over 30 arbitration cases as well a guest speaker at several insurance & healthcare industry conferences.
