Jonathan (Jonnie) Goodwin is a serial technology investor. In 2011, he founded Lepe Partners, an independent merchant bank which focuses on the media, internet and consumer sectors and combines corporate finance advisory and principal investment practices. Lepe Partners collaborated with LJ Partnership and rebranded in 2019 as Alvarium Investments where Jonnie serves as Partner, Head of Merchant Banking.
Jonathan co-founded Founders Forum, a series of global events for leading entrepreneurs, with Brent Hoberman in 2005 and in 2009, PROfounders Capital, an early-stage venture capital fund for founders.
Previously he was Group Managing Director of the Wireless Group plc and CEO and Co-Founder of LongAcre Partners, Europe’s leading mid-market media corporate finance house, which he sold to Jefferies in 2007.
Jonathan is chairman of The Founders Pledge, a programme to encourage UK entrepreneurs to donate part of their exit proceeds to charitable causes. He is also a member of the Advisory Board of Future Fifty, a powerful network of the UK’s leading late-stage technology companies.
In 2018, Jonathan was awarded an OBE in Her Majesty The Queen’s New Year’s Honours List for services to the economy, and in January 2020 he was appointed Chairman of the communications charity, Media Trust.
