John Sergides

Biography

John Sergides is CEO of MUFG Investor Services. In this role, he is responsible for the operations, product, and HR functions of the firm, as well as driving global sales growth and marketing strategy. Prior to being named CEO in January 2019, John served as Deputy CEO at MUFG.

Formerly the Global Head of Sales at UBS Fund Services, John brings a wealth of experience from a range of roles in the investment management industry. He was previously Head of Business Development and Strategy, Alternative Fund Services at Deutsche Bank and prior to that, Executive Director of Hedge Fund Services at JP Morgan Chase. John previously worked as a senior trader for the HSBC Group, Point Nine Financial Group, a leader in the credit derivatives service industry, where he held the role of CEO and for Barclays Capital in both London and Tokyo.

He has also held several Non-Executive Director positions, including for Renal Services, a provider of healthcare services. John has remained active in the philanthropic community during his tenure within the industry. John has been responsible for engaging his teams in charitable organizations, such as East Harlem Tutorial Program and Hedge Fund Cares.

John has a degree in mechanical engineering from Imperial College, London.
