Gemma Hulbert is Chief Data Officer at well-known UK fitness apparel and accessory brand, Gymshark. Prior to taking on this leading role, Gemma held the position of Customer Insight Director for two years before her promotion to Insight Director.
She began her career at Gymshark as a Marketing Analyst, where she joined as the business's first data and analytics specialist. In this role, she was responsible for using data, analytics and research to support the brand in making more effective decisions and enhancing their understanding of customer behaviour. She went on to build the data function from the ground up whilst cultivating a data led culture business-wide.
Prior to this, Gemma worked for the People’s Dispensary for Sick Animals (PDSA), where she most recently served as Marketing Analyst. She began her career in a university placement role as Junior Marketing Analyst, during which she was recognised for her successful application of the marketing analytics FastStats system in the 2012 Apteco FastStats awards.
Gemma graduated from Birmingham City University with a Bachelor of Arts in Marketing, Advertising & Public Relations.
