Emma Sherrard Matthew is Executive Chairman, Asia Pacific, of Quintessentially Group. Emma launched the brand in Asia Pacific in 2005 and has been instrumental in building the business & company profile globally over the past decade.
Acting as an authoritative voice on lifestyle and travel trends, Emma partakes in regular interviews on Bloomberg and within international news titles and blogs. Her entrepreneurial flair and extensive global address book have rapidly positioned her as one of Hong Kong’s most dynamic businesswomen.
An active angel investor, Emma is also the Non-Executive Chairman of Private Family Members’ Club, Maggie & Rose, Board Advisor to Silentmode, ONDA and Rise Art, advisor to Shiza Shahid who co-founded the Malala Fund and NOW Ventures, as well as Board Advisor to the first social network for luxury vacation rentals, Stay One Degree.
Emma has a strong sense of commitment to social responsibility and is involved in a number of local charitable fundraising activities. She currently sits on the Board of Women Helping Women. Emma successfully launched and has hosted the annual ‘The Fayre of St John’s’ Christmas carol concert in Hong Kong raising nearly HKD 8 Million for Maggie’s Cancer Caring Centre. She is an active member of YPO Pan Asia and formerly sat on the EXCO Board. She has also recently taken the role as a founding member of the Development Advisory Board of Somerset House in London.
Emma is a keen participant in competitive sports and challenges, including running the Great Wall, London and Hong Kong Marathons, hiking the 100k jungle Kokoda Track in Papua New Guinea and Annapurna Circuit in Nepal and climbing Mt Kinabalu, Ben Nevis and Mt Kilimanjaro.
