Elan A. Schultz is a Founding Partner at TriSpan, LLP, an alternative asset management and private equity firm.
Elan has more than 25 years of global experience in private equity, real estate and private credit. He has successfully invested in start-ups, small and mid-sized companies and multi-billion-dollar enterprises throughout his career. He has acquired an in-depth understanding of investing in a range of sectors, including but not limited to manufacturing, technology, professional services, multi-unit healthcare and restaurants.
TriSpan focuses on investments in high-growth companies in North America, Europe and the UK. It features two innovative private equity platforms. Its Opportunities Fund serves a broad range of industries, focusing on buy and build strategies in healthcare, business services and specialty manufacturing sectors. The Rising Stars fund focuses on investing in new brands in the restaurant industry that show great growth potential.
Before establishing TriSpan, Elan served as MP at Quilvest, where he was pivotal in steering the success of its global private equity, real estate and private credit business. He dedicated a decade of his career to Quilvest and served on its Board of Directors, investment committees and the boards of its US-based private equity investments.
Prior to this, Elan co-founded SG Capital Partners, a $500 million private equity fund that invested across numerous sectors, from venture capital to buyouts, and achieved top decile investment performance for its vintage. He started his career at Donaldson Lufkin & Jenrette (DLJ), where he helped set up DLJ Merchant Banking and contributed significantly to driving the success of the private equity division.
Elan attended the University of Texas at Austin, where he obtained a BA with honors, and he holds an MBA from Stanford Business School. He spends some of his free time rock climbing, flying planes as a licensed pilot, and training in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu.
