Edi Truell has over 28 years of financial services experience in private equity and debt markets. A director of Hambros Bank in 1991, Chief Executive of Hambro European Ventures in 1994, Edi also led the 1998 buyout and formation of Duke Street Capital. Chairman of the British Venture Capital Association from 2001 to 2002 and in 2006 he co-founded Pension Corporation, a leading provider of risk management solutions to defined benefit pension funds. Edmund Truell is also a Trustee of The Truell Charitable Foundation and the Charles Darwin Foundation.

Carrier focused car companies Tantalum and Springworks join in £14m deal

Carrier focused connected-car companies Tantalum and Springworks have combined in a deal worth around £14 million, bolstering their position in Europe and the US automotive and telecommunications markets. The deal sees UK-based Tantalum, which counts Edmund Truell’s Disruptive Capital investment fund as its majority shareholder, purchase Sweden-based service provider Springworks.
