David Sproul


David Sproul was elected as Senior Partner & Chief Executive of Deloitte in the UK from 2011, and was re-elected from 2015. He is also a member of the Deloitte Global Executive. His previous roles include being the MD for Tax in the UK and EMEA and the Managing Partner for Talent in the UK. He was COO of Andersen until 2002. David has significant experience of working with clients on strategic, transaction and tax-related questions, across many geographies and varied sectors.

KPMG and Deloitte to stop non-audit work on audit clients

“In making our recommendations, we have applied a principle that any change must enhance audit quality, therefore improving trust and confidence in the UK’s capital markets,” said David Sproul, chief executive of Deloitte in the UK and north-west Europe. “We propose banning all non-audit services to FTSE 350 and large public interest entity audit clients.”
