David Foreman is the Managing Partner of Praetura Ventures, the Manchester-headquartered venture capital investor which supports tech and life sciences businesses with ‘more than money’, including leading success stories such as Peak, XR Games and Culture Shift. David is also a co-founder of Praetura Group, which provides lending solutions to SMEs across a range of funding routes, such as asset-based lending and invoice financing.

Since founding Praetura in 2011, David has helped grow the group to over 148 people and four offices across the North of England, with £957m invested or lent to SMEs and £544m AUM. Praetura Ventures itself has invested in more than 50 startups, with over 100 venture partners and over 36 portfolio companies.

David has been at the heart of Praetura Ventures’ growth story and has been instrumental in a number of initiatives, including the launch of Praetura’s Operational Partner Programme, which connects exceptional founders with heavyweight business mentors from leading companies like JD, Dr Martens, AO.com, OSTC, MPP Global, PA Consulting and Spark IMPACT.
