Biography

Christopher Stainforth is an Investment Banker with over 40 years' experience in the City.

He is the Founder and Director of AuRER, a minerals company which processes nanoparticles of gold, sourced from its own property in the USA. He is Founder and Chairman of Asset Time Invest, which creates real estate assets on behalf of investor groups. Christopher is also Founder and Chairman of ESM, which is involved in equity release for short leases.

During his career, Christopher has advised hundreds of businesses on a broad range of transactions across the whole spectrum of industrial and financial sectors. He has helped to create a number of companies and has been Chairman or Director of 20 or more small to medium-sized firms. Many of these have had to be nursed through either a recovery or a growth phase and the majority were either quoted or backed by institutional investors.

Christopher was Chief Executive of Durlacher plc between 2002 and 2004, where he rescued and turned the firm around to create an investment bank catering to small and mid-cap corporations.

He served seven years with Guinness Mahon as Head of Corporate Finance until 1999, after spending six years at UBS Phillips & Drew as Managing Director of UK Corporate Finance.

In his early career, Christopher qualified as a chartered accountant with Peat Marwick Mitchell & Co (now KPMG) where he worked for eight years before joining Henry Schroder Wagg Ltd to work on Corporate Finance.
