Biography

Brian Rathjen is President of Roberts & Ryan Investments Inc., a Service Disabled Veteran Owned institutional broker dealer. Roberts & Ryan provides execution capabilities in fixed income and equity agency trading, corporate debt in the capital markets, and municipal underwriting. Brian is also a Founding Partner and Senior Managing Director of Kelson Group, a placement agency that specializes in raising assets for money managers with a focus on the public pension and Taft-Hartley markets. Previously, Brian founded the Asset Management division at the Marwood Group, and started his career on Wall Street in Taxable Fixed Income Sales at Prudential Securities.

A graduate of the United States Naval Academy, Brian serves on the Service Academy Nomination Selection Board of the Office of Senator Kristen Gillibrand and the Service Academy Selection Committee of the Office of Congresswoman Kathleen Rice. Brian serves on the Board of Directors for Boulder Crest Retreat, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization specializing in health and wellness for military and veteran wellness. Brian is also a Trustee on the U.S. Naval Academy Foundation, an organization committed to supporting officers in the Naval Academy, and enhancing programs and facilities of the Naval Academy and its Alumni. Brian is also a Historian for the Society of the Friendly Sons of Saint Patrick, a relief organization for immigrants from Ireland.
