Biography

Anshu Jain is President of Cantor Fitzgerald, a global leader in financial services with more than 30 offices worldwide. Anshu is an influential figure in the financial services industry and has spent thirty years in various leadership roles. He is credited for establishing the markets business at Deutsche Bank, where he worked for two decades, most recently as Co-CEO.

A leader in the industry, Anshu has advised governments and industry bodies around the world, including leading Deutsche Bank’s team that advised the UK Treasury on financial stability. He previously served on the Board of the Institute of International Finance and was a member of the Financial Services Forum. He served on the International Advisory Panel of the Monetary Authority of Singapore. Prior to joining Cantor in 2016, Anshu was an advisor to Sofi, a leading FinTech lender, and senior advisor to the McKinsey Global Institute. Anshu also served on the board of SASOL, South Africa’s leading energy company and currently sits on the MIT Sloan Finance Group Advisory Board.

Anshu has received numerous awards in recognition of his achievements throughout his influential career. In 2014, he was awarded an Honorary Fellowship from London Business School. At that time, he was Co-CEO of Deutsche Bank where he spearheaded the bank’s transformation programme. A role model to individuals of Indian origin around the world, Anshu was named Global Indian of The Year by The Economic Times in 2012. Risk magazine nominated Anshu for a Lifetime Achievement Award in 2010 to acknowledge his successful career in the banking industry and Euromoney awarded Anshu the Capital Market Achievement Award for his major role in building and ultimately running Deutsche Bank.

A keen conservationist, Anshu works with environment and wildlife conservation groups in many parts of the world. He is a Trustee of Chance to Shine, a UK charity with a mission to spread the power of cricket throughout schools and communities.
