Biography

Anne Nisbet DL is Trustee and Chair of The Nisbet Trust, an independent charitable trust founded in 2011 that supports charities and causes in Greater Bristol around supporting disadvantaged children and young people, tackling racism, preventing homelessness, and supporting arts and performance venues.

Anne is also a Director of Key West Holdings, a family-owned business that holds the Nisbet family’s interests in Nisbets Plc, Jongor Hire, and commercial property. She has been a Director of Nisbets Plc since 1991 and originally founded the company’s charitable arm, Nisbets in the Community (NIC) in 2012.

Passionate about charitable causes in Greater Bristol, Anne is involved in a number of local organisations through the Trust, including Above and Beyond and Chaired their Golden Gift Appeal 2012–2016. Between 2010 and 2013, Anne was a Director of Venturers Trust, a multi-academy trust that manages schools in Greater Bristol. She has been on the Management Committee of The Cote Charity since 2007, which manages care homes for the elderly in Bristol.

In 2020, Anne was appointed Deputy Lord-Lieutenant for the County and City of Bristol.
