Andrew Sachs’ Biography

Andrew Sachs is a prominent business leader and investor with over 25 years of experience leading more than 40 companies at the board level. He is the CEO of private investment company Mauloa. He is also the Founder of Sachs Capital.

Andrew established Mauloa in 2022 as a non-controlling investment company open to all industry sectors apart from real estate and biotech. The firm implements a long-term investment perspective, investing with a partnership-oriented mindset that aims to help companies grow and prosper over time.

Prior to establishing Sachs Capital in 2007, Andrew co-founded Bethany Partners and KMS Investments, both successful private equity boutiques. He was also President of Capital Investors II, a venture capital fund whose limited partners include many of the region's most prominent entrepreneurs. Andrew started his investment career as an analyst at Morgan Stanley Capital Partners in New York, where he evaluated and formalized investments for the firm's $1.9 billion private equity fund.

Andrew is involved with several non-profit organizations and sits on the Board of youth development initiative First Tee of Greater Washington, DC. He previously served on the Boards of JCC of Greater Washington, DC. and Shady Grove Adventist Medical Center Foundation.

Andrew supports charities such as the Down Syndrome Network of Montgomery County, and Dinner of Champions. Previously, he served as a Trustee at Imagination Stage, and sat on the Board of Advisors of Carl M. Freeman Foundation—FACES program as well as at Georgetown University McDonough School of Business.

Andrew graduated from Georgetown University's Walsh School of Foreign Service with a BS in Foreign Service. He also holds an MBA from the institution's McDonough School of Business, and a degree in Economics from the London School of Economics.
