Biography
Sir Charles Dunstone is the Chairman of Dixons Carphone. He is the founder of Carphone Warehouse and has been Chairman since 28 January 2010. He was CEO of Old Carphone Warehouse from 1989-2010 where he led the growth of Carphone Warehouse both before and after its flotation on the London Stock Exchange in 2000 to become one of Europe’s largest independent telecommunications retailers. Sir Charles was also appointed chairman of TalkTalk in 2010. Sir Charles has been Chairman of The Prince’s Trust since 2009 and a member of its Council since 2000. He is also Chairman of Royal Museums Greenwich.

Dividend cut as Dunstone gets tough on TalkTalk’s debt levels

The chairman of TalkTalk Sir Charles Dunstone will this week announce his return to the frontline at the broadband operator by slashing its dividend. The Sunday Telegraph has established that TalkTalk will announce a cut in its payout to shareholders as part of its annual results on Wednesday.
