Rod Barker is a Partner at Toscafund Asset Management, one of London's leading multi-asset managers with over $4bn in assets. He has worked as a hedge fund executive in CEO and Business Development roles since 2005 and has built a substantial network of institutional and private investors. Prior to 2005, he was a Managing Director at Credit Suisse with responsibility for International Prime Services, and Morgan Stanley as Managing Director in International Prime Brokerage and Institutional Equity Sales. Rod is a graduate of First Chicago's First Scholar Programme and Durham University.

Rod was appointed as Main Board Director and part of the management team which grew RAB Capital into one of London's leading hedge fund businesses. RAB began as a start-up private hedge fund business but became one of the earliest pure alternative asset management firms to list on the stock market. Rod joined Credit Suisse to establish and develop a hedge fund relationship management coverage function in Europe and to build an international presence in prime brokerage. He was a key participant in the development of one of the leading multi-asset prime brokerage businesses in Europe and Asia, significantly expanding the firm's client footprint and market share.
Rod spent almost 15 years at Morgan Stanley where he climbed the ranks from Associate to Managing Director. After 13 successful years in institutional equities where he was head of International Equity Sales, Rod became a senior manager in the top ranked prime brokerage division. He began his career at Morgan Stanley in US equity sales and ran the #1 ranked US equity sales business in Europe.
